Description
Due to its dense, dark leaves the Novita is commonly planted for screening, however it can also be used as a stand-alone tree, growing with an upright, broad habit.
Cherry laurel has fresh green leaves on foliation, which get darker and glossier with age. In May, mature trees produce a display of white blossom, which grow on upright racemes. Prunus laurocerasus Novita also produces black, conical fruit, however these are poisonous, so be cautious when planting near livestock or children.
We have this cherry laurel available as standard, feathered, pleached and as an evergreen screen. These are grown on frames with several plants grown in each container, covering each screen completely as an espalier frame.
