Vermeer TS505 tracked stump grinder

A recent addition to our fleet is a high power ASV rubber tracked skid steer fitted with an FAE fixed tooth mulcher. This machine is ideal for scrub clearance where access is limited such as rhododendron clearance in woodland, verge clearance, inter row clearance (2.5m+ row spacing) and scrub, such as brambles, blackthorn etc.

This is a 'top of the range' model which outperforms most wheeled machines (we started operating  wheeled machines in 1984!)

Some of the advantages are:

  • Less ground pressure and hence less rutting (4.4 psi)
  • Much greater stability on sloping  ground
  • In transport mode it fits through a 91cm opening
  • Powerful 50hp engine but in a compact design machine
  • Fast thorough grinding
  • Able to grind down to 40cm below ground level

Wood Splitter

We have added a Wood Cracker Log Splitter to our excavator attachments available for hire. Mounted on a 20t excavator, this will efficiently split logs up to 40" diameter ready for chipping.
