Mechanised Vegetation Clearance
Practicality Brown are specialist contractors
offering a NO BURN TREE AND SCRUB CLEARANCE
service using commercial scale cost effective equipment. We have
over 24 years experience of whole tree chipping on a commercial
scale and over 10 years experience of mulching.
Despite the credit crunch, we continue to keep our fleet updated
having recently replaced an AHWI RT400
Tracked Mulcher and 2 front line excavators. This new
AHWI MULCHER is fitted with the latest low emission Tier 3 Deutz
engine.
Woodland and Heathland Clearance
An in-house team specialise in the rapid clearance of all parts
of all trees from sites without burning. Mature trees are
conventionally felled for timber. Whole trees up to 600mm diameter,
branches and tops are chipped at stump using 370hp grab fed mobile
chippers. Chipped material can be removed from site immediately as
Fuel Chip or composted on site for future use as mulch.
Waste Timber, Scrub and Small Trees
Timber of any size, brash, vegetation and roots that have not
been chipped or sold as timber can be mulched using one of the
company's 400hp German built tracked mulchers. The mulch
arising are either worked into the ground or can be removed. This
new equipment eliminates the need to grub up and transport material
to a static grinder and the mulched arisings can be incorporated
into the topsoil as humus thus eliminating the need for removal
from site and high landfill costs.
Tree Stumps
Tree Stumps of any size are either ground in situ or can be
grubbed up and mulched where removal of side roots is also
required. Both methods offer quick and cost effective means of
stump removal on any size of project.
Tree Surgery and Habitat Mitigation
Practicality Brown offers a comprehensive range of tree surgery
and habitat mitigation services to complement its tree clearance
operations when required.
