Sensitive Vegetation Clearance works continues on A46 Newark Project
Thursday, August 12, 2010
Practicality Brown has been working
on this £380m road building project since February 2009 and is now
in the final stage of vegetation clearance as parts of the new road
have been opened , allowing access to land locked areas via the old
road surface. Some of the final clearance involves ecologically
sensitive work such as stump grubbing in Great Crested Newt
habitat.
Practicality Brown has worked
closely with main contractor Balfour Beatty Plc and ecologists from
Scott Wilson to carry out the works thoughtfully using the right
equipment at the right time.
