Barks
Practicality Brown is an independent supplier of all grades of Bark aiming to offer the best value in the South of England. We constantly monitor the market and aim to provide the best value product lines from several sources and are not committed to market one range. We offer a standard selection of 7 grades of Bark from five regional processing plants and can also offer custom grades.

Whole Tree Mulches
Practicality Brown is a supplier of consistent whole tree mulches. Mastermulch is an economic alternative to bark mulches. A 50 -75mm layer provides long term weed suppression, whilst enhancing the soil's moisture retaining properties.

Play Surfacing
Playgrade Bark is processed and screened specifically to provide an impact absorbing surface, conforming to BS EN 1177: 1998.

Path and Equestrian Surfacing
Hardwood Surface Chip is suitable for equestrian usage, golf club pathways and general applications.

Wood Fuel Chip
Having sold large volumes of fuel chip commercially to several power stations over the past 20 years, Practicality Brown now undertakes wood fuel supply contracts to medium size commercial users such as factories, hospitals, hotels, community heating projects, schools etc with an annual requirement of between 150 and 2000 tonnes . Whole tree wood chip is purposely stored and moisture controlled to provide boilers with consistent quality fuel.  If you are interested in this service, please email us an enquiry stating annual tonnage, chip specification, type and size of storage silo, location and maximum size vehicle access.

Prices
This is a very competitive market with prices throughout the country being dominated by haulage costs from the processing yard to the end destination. Practicality Brown's product range is drawn out of 5 different depots throughout the country.

National Deliveries
Practicality Brown offers competitive national delivery of over 15 products on a bulk basis. As a rule of thumb 20m³ is the minimum load size that is realistic nationwide.

London and Home Counties Deliveries
Practicality Brown offers a small load service within 60 miles of its Iver depot which offers competitive delivery of loads ranging from 3 - 20m³.
Some bark and chip grades may also be collected from the Iver Depot (minimum 5m³ collections) - See map in "Contact Us "
