Wood Fuel Chip

With nearly 25 years experience of commercially producing purpose made wood chip for both amenity and fuel markets, Practicality Brown was well placed to offer graded biomass fuel chip to the rapidly expanding biomass fuel market.

We now offer G50 specification biomass wood chip in the South East with just in time delivery in varying load sizes to suit the boiler installation. We select raw wood chip suitable for grading into G50 , with material that does not meet our strict criteria being sold to power station outlets around the country.

All our wood fuel products are produced from virgin clean timber thus guaranteeing emission requirements in controlled areas and ensuring that the clean wood ash can be either used as fertiliser or disposed of in the normal waste stream.

Practicality Browns's client base is essentially medium size boiler installations such as schools, large retail outlets, community heating projects, hospitals and large private houses, with annual requirement of between 100 and 2000 tonnes.

Barks

Practicality Brown is an independent supplier of all grades of Bark aiming to offer the best value in the South of England. We constantly monitor the market and aim to provide the best value product lines from several sources and are not committed to market one range. We offer a standard selection of 7 grades of Bark from three regional processing plants and can also offer custom grades.

Whole Tree Mulches

Practicality Brown is a supplier of consistent whole tree mulches. Mastermulch is an economic alternative to bark mulches. A 50 -75mm layer provides long term weed suppression, whilst enhancing the soil's moisture retaining properties.

Play Surfacing

Playgrade Bark is processed and screened specifically to provide an impact absorbing surface, conforming to BS EN 1177: 1998.

Path and Equestrian Surfacing

Hardwood Surface Chip is suitable for equestrian usage, golf club pathways and general applications.
